Hi everyone,
This is my first blog entry, now I'm not very good at writing about myself but here goes. These are some stories about things that happened at Camp Joy.
My cabin's name was Mt. Horeb, and one day the lady who usually inspected our cabins was busy so she had three of the men counselors inspect the girls cabins, and she had three of the women counselors inspect the boys cabins. Unfortunatly, that day someone sabotaged our cabin after we had cleaned it, and at lunch when the counselors read the cabin reports, they began our report with, "And now for Mt. Horrible." It was embaressing then, but it's kind of funny now.
Most of the classtimes, we learned about influences on Joseph's life. At Wednesday night's chapel service, the pastor was preaching on "If my people, which are called by my name will humble thamselves," and that was as far as he got because the Holy Spirit moved on us, and a bunch of people went forward to pray; and from that night till the end of the week, several campers and counselors gave up their tobacco.
The last night of camp we had a campfire service where people gave testimonies, and some people threw their music in the fire. In our cabin that night after devotions, we went around the cabin telling jokes, then we had snacks, and afterwards some of the girls in my cabin gave makeovers to the other girls. I had intended to stay up all night, but after my makeover, I could barely keep my eyes open, and I barely made it to my bed.
